Jon Boden and John Spiers
20:00
Voted best duo in the Radio 2 Folk awards Boden and Spiers have been at the forefront of reinvigorating traditional English music as we know it. Boden is a superb fi ddle player with a powerful voice and stage presence. He literally gives the music real kick with his infamous stomp board. Spiers has comes from a strong Morris tradition and makes the melodeon sing. They are highly inventive and the tunes are punched out with rhythmic inventiveness and subtle harmonies. It is impossible to stay still and not smile! This gig is not to be missed and tickets will go quickly.

Irish Sessions with the Sessioneers
12:00 - 14:00
Following a very successful outdoor session last year, we look forward to do it all again in 2008. Please pop along to the Ringers and join in!

Fastest to Canada
20:00
Originally formed back in 1991 by Jacqui Haigh (vocals/guitar) and Andy Collins (vocals/guitar), along with Andy Marr (sax/flute/whistles and vocals). The lineup has evolve over the years and now includes Mo Morgan on drums, and ex Skin The Peeler bass player Richard Ireland. Anyone who's seen Fastest to Canada before will know exactly what to expect: first class folk rock. For those of you who haven't had the pleasure of seeing this band before, don't be put off - this is not a band covering the tired and familiar ground that the description "folk rock" might imply!
