Applejacks Appalachian Clog Dancers
12:00 - 17:00
Applejacks dance in the Appalachian style, which originates from the Appalachian mountains in the South Eastern states of Northern America. The style has its roots in the dances borught by the early settlers. Over the years, traditional steps from Europe have been combined with those of African and Native American dancers, emerging as the tapping of hobnailed work shoes on kitchen floors and porches. Applejacks choreography provides a performance which is individual and highly enjoyable for both dancers and audience.

Rag Morris - Morris dancing at its best!
12:00 - 17:00
Rag Morris has acquired its own inimitable style over the past 25 years - energetic, colourful, comic, a bit 'off-the-wall'. Certainly never boring, and very rarely normal, wearing brilliantly coloured rag shirts and bells. Their repertoire comes from the dances of the Cotwold Hills and the wild Welsh Borders, and we dance with sticks, hankies, bare hands and plastic chickens, to the accompaniment of melodeons, accordions, whistles, drumbs and strohviols.
